Old Town Scottsdale is the original townsite, generally bounded by Chaparral Road to the north, Earll Drive to the south, 68th Street to the west, and Miller Road to the east, and it's where the city's cowboy-era Main Street, its 1960s-70s condo boom, and its 2000s high-rise resurgence all sit within walking distance of each other. Inventory here is condo-heavy, roughly 93% attached product at the core, which makes it the valley's clearest lock-and-leave luxury market: buyers who want a second home or a low-maintenance primary residence without giving up walkability or nightlife.

The district breaks into a handful of distinct pockets: the Main Street/Marshall Way Arts District with its galleries and the Thursday night Art Walk; Fifth Avenue's Western-themed shopping; the Entertainment District around Camelback and Scottsdale Road with its rooftop bars and late-night scene; and the Scottsdale Waterfront and Southbridge, a canal-front stretch of restaurants and public art that connects directly to Scottsdale Fashion Square, the valley's premier luxury shopping center.
